I was waiting for this series for two reasons. Firstly, about the pirates, and I love stories about pirates, like perhaps many, and for a long time, in childhood, I was read out by the Captain Bladu and the Treasure Island (the latter liked the latter) and watched the corresponding films. Yes, he is not without blunders, but because of the lack of worthy competitors (except that the “game of thrones”, but it is a little from another genre), but they wanted to close my eyes on them.

By the way, as for me, the opening of "black sails" is one of the best since the time of "Game of Thrones".
True, unlike the same Spartak, he has a competitor, this year there will be another series on a pirate theme – Skull and Bones, where one of the main roles is not performed by anyone but John Malkovich himself. So quite possibly we will find very worthy competition from which only the viewer will benefit from.
